DESCRIPTION:READY.SET.CONNECT\nProgram Information\nThis program will provide parents with resources, ideas, and skills necessary to create a successful preschool experience at home.\nOver the 2022-2023 school year, parents and their preschool student will participate in 4 workshops with our program. Each session will focus on skills that promote Kindergarten readiness.\nIn addition to these sessions, families will have 1 year use of a tablet with educational apps, the book How to Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons, and much more!\nOur advisors will provide you with support and resources you can use at home.\nApplications are available on the Connections website, www.chkpen.org ( http://www.chkpen.org ) and the Connections Homeschool Facebook page.\nApplication deadline is August 15th.\nFamilies will be notified by September 9th.\nHow can I participate in this program?\nFamilies interested in this opportunity will need to complete the application and submit to your local Connections office by August 15, 2022. You can also complete the application on this Google Forms.\nStudents need to be 4 years old by September 1, 2022 and NOT enrolled in any other Pre-K programs (private or KPBSD).\nPreference for this program will be given to families new to the Connections program.\nStudents must be full-time residents of the Kenai Peninsula and able to participate in all four of our workshops.\nWorkshop Dates:**\n\nOctober 12, 2022\nDecember 7, 2022\nFebruary 8, 2023\nApril 26, 2023\n\nWorkshop dates for Homer and Seward locations will be shared soon!\nConnections would love to be your partner in homeschooling.
