6th-12th Grade Adopt A Stream with Connections

6th-12th grade will meet on April 21st from 1pm-3pm

Both sessions will meet at KWF Office (44129 Sterling Hwy. Soldotna)

Join the Kenai Watershed Forum for the final Adopt-A-Stream visit of the season!

Students (and parents) will hike down to Soldotna Creek to monitor water quality for healthy salmon habitat.

In small groups, students will utilize both chemical and biological procedures to measure dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, and temperature of the creek.

Following, students will take a survey of macroinvertebrates and other living critters in and around the water.

Dress for Alaskan “spring” weather, this event is rain/snow/shine. We look forward to seeing you!!
