LESSON DESCRIPTION: Basic Spanish literacy will include vocabulary, grammar and phonics. Materials used will include "The Ultimate Spanish 101", McGraw Hill, "Spanish Middle/High School, Carson Dellosa Education and "The Complete Book of Spanish, Grades 1-3. Speaking and writing skills will be taught, including grammar and composition with Wordsmith curriculum. Literature studies will encourage skills in essay composition as well as critical thinking skills using grade appropriate short stories, poetry, nonfiction, novels and articles.
