LESSON DESCRIPTION: Students will learn the fundamentals of Boxing. Skills taught include jab, cross, hook and uppercuts. Defensive movements such as slipping, dodging, rolling half steps and bouncesteps. Students will learn to spar with courtesy and proper respect for their opponents as well as themselves. Students will learn the rules of amateur Boxing and learn how matches are judged. Students will learn conditioning and stimulus drills to enable a lifetime of Boxing practice. Students will regularly send footage to the coach of their shadow Boxing assigned as homework. Student will spar with the coach after each new skill is acquired. Critiques of historical fights will be required twice before the end of the semester.
