LESSON DESCRIPTION: Students will become familiar with their instruments fretboard/keyboard, basic note positions and chord forms and progressions. Students will study basic music theory, standard treble and bass clef notation and tablature reading. Students will be introduced to basic fingerstyle patterns. Students will gain basic proficiency with their use of these patterns. Basic mastery of 13 basic chords will be taught. All instruction will adhere to Alaska Dept.of Education General Music Standards.
