LESSON DESCRIPTION: Tutoring and teaching are available. Tutoring students will complete an assessment to determine instruction. Students will complete reading and writing exercises and write essays. Class students will attend lectures and write essays. The goals will be improvement and finding an individualized joy in the creative act of writing. I will teach creative and formal writing craft elements including topic sentence, supporting arugment, the essay forms, sentence variety, descriptive writing point of view and audience. Materials used will be excerpts from essays, novels and poetry as well as sentence structure handouts that have proved effective in other classes I have taught through Kenai Peninsula College and the Artist in Schools Program in Seward Elementary School.
