LESSON DESCRIPTION: Wild Spirit Forest School is an outdoor homeschool program for students 5-8 years old that focuses on social emotional learning. Each day, students will get together to learn non-violent communication techniques, meditation and breathwork. Along with social emotional learning techniques, Wild Spirit Forest School uses a constructivist pedagogical approach that allows students to engage in hands-on project based educational learnign experiences. While supporting their local ecosystem and learning to communicate with their peers, students will have the opportunity to engage in STEAM projects, learn outdoor survival skills and engage in nature journaling and grade appropriate text.
