Seward – Become A Citizen Scientist w/Kenai Watershed Forum
Meet Katey Shedden with the Kenai Watershed Forum to learn what it takes to be a Citizen Scientist. We will be testing stream health by measuring water quality and assessing wildlife habitat. This hands-on activity will help us understand what makes a healthy waterway and why it’s important to monitor these areas. We will learn to use various scientific equipment, which can then be checked out by Connections families to conduct further samplings at a body of water of your choice on your schedule.
