SEWARD- Knits & Knots Fiber Arts Club
Join Laura at the Seward Connections Office where she will be teaching beginning crochet. Students will learn a new skill and create a classic scarf or hat.
WHO: Students grades 3rd-12th (REMEMBER, Irish Fishermen perfected the knitted sweater, so boys can knit or crochet too!)
WHEN: Specific Monday’s from 1pm-2pm. February 12th, 26th, and March 4th
(*Attendance is NOT mandatory, please join us even if you can’t attend all sessions!)

Materials will need to be purchased by you and can be reimbursed with available funds and Art on your student’s ILP.
Scarf Project-
- Yarn: about 250-350 total yards of Super Bulky or Bulky Yarn such as Lion Brand Wool- Ease Thick & Quick or, Lion Brand Scarfie Yarn (or other #5 or #6 yarn)
- Crochet hook: size L/8mm or M/9mm
Hat Project-
- Yarn: about 150-200 total yards of Bulky Yarn such as Lion Brand Scarfie Yarn or Loops & Threads Charisma Yarn (or other #5 yarn)
- Crochet Hook: size L/8mm
- Fur pom-pom (optional, can also be made from coordinating color yarn)
